The Cairns Maritime Museum

nla.obj-136801722-1The Cairns Maritime Museum maintains a collection of artifacts recovered from numerous significant Shipwreck sites discovered along the Great Barrier Reef.
East coast historical Pearl Luggers and indigenous water craft sourced from communities and individuals by donation.
We have a vessel which requires crew members to be sailed for training and re-enactment voyages of educational value and exhibition purposes to maintain the traditional skillsets of the age of sail and develop youth involvement in the Cairns Maritime Museum Community Organisation.
